Cairo, Egypt November 13th, 2022 – Press Release: Mediterranean Energy Partners has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company for CCS Project development in Egypt.
Mediterranean Energy Partners (MEP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Egyptian Gas Holding Company (EGAS) to assess the Carbon, Capture, and Storage (CCS) potential in the Nile Delta. The collaborative agreement aims to establish a full CCS value chain in Egypt to serve as a potential hub for Carbon Storage in the offshore Rosetta Field. The MOU has several milestones to evaluate the key pillars of a CCS development, including Rosetta Fields storage capacity, injectivity, and containment, in preparation for a CO2 injection pilot. The MoU was signed by EGAS Chairman Dr. Magdy Galal and MEP CEO Mr. Taner Sensoy.
